Make your own My Worthington Memories web page and have it published on the Worthington Memory web site! You can win a pizza party for you and your class. Three winners will be selected (one each) in the elementary, middle, and high school categories. All students in Worthington Schools, Worthington Christian Schools, and home school groups in the Worthington School District are eligible to enter.
How to Enter:
- Make a scrapbook by going to www.worthingtonmemory.org, click on "My Worthington Memories" and register for a scrapbook.
- Choose a theme for your scrapbook. Give it a title and write a short description (click on "Edit My Worthington Memories Settings"). Examples of themes might include:
African Americans in Worthington
Business in Worthington
Freemasons
Notable people such as James Kilbourn, etc.
Sports (Basketball, Football, etc.)
Veterans
Can you think of more? Be creative!
- Browse or search Worthington Memory. When you find an item that you want to add to your scrapbook click on "Add to My Worthington Memories". Include at least 5 items in your scrapbook.
- Write a short description about each item in your scrapbook by clicking on "Add Notes". Explain why you chose it and how it relates to your theme. Be sure not to just copy the description from the web site. When writing your description you may want to ask yourself:
- What is exciting about the item?
- Why does it interest you?
- Do you have a personal connection to the item?
- After you have made your scrapbook, submit your entry using the online form below. Entries must be received by Friday, October 22, 2004. Winners will be announced November 12, 2004.
