Title: Worthington News Index
Location: Old Worthington Library (820 High Street, Worthington)

Immediate Supervisor: Susan Allen, Digital Library Leader, Worthington Libraries

Volunteer Coordinator: Janet Ingraham Dwyer, Outreach Services & Volunteer Coordinator, Worthington Libraries

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Volunteers will index local newspapers dating 1814-present.

POSITION REQUIRES:
  • an interest in local history
  • the ability to use a personal computer (Windows style software, Internet Explorer, mouse, keyboard)
  • attention to detail and accuracy when typing
  • the ability to work independently
  • ability to use microfilm reader
  • completion of a training and orientation session for the Worthington News Index
An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the workplace will be deemed not qualified for this position.
