This series of photographs features various scenes from the Worthington Civic Ballet and Youtheatre’s 1996 production of “Alice though the Looking Glass”, based on Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s book Alice in Wonderland. The first image shows the scene Alice’s Birthday with Kristin Jenkins in the lead role as Alice and Vanessa Shrontz as the White Rabbit. Alice’s friends were played by Sarah Brigham, Sarah Ho, and Eva Hudgins, while Alice’s Reflections were Ashley Bleimes, Amanda McCash, Tiffany McCash, and Debra Williams. The second photograph is a scene with Alice, Tweedledee played by Sarah Timm, and Tweedledum played by Eric Timm. The third and fourth photographs show the scene the Red Queen’s Games. The fifth, sixth, and seventh photographs in this series were taken during dress rehearsals, and show a number of the elaborate costumes that were designed and hand made by director Barbara Burrows, based on the original Lewis Carroll illustrations. |
