Description: Historic Flag Dedication Ceremony
Abstract: Eleven historic flags of national and local significance were given by the Worthington Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to the Worthington Schools in 1976. The flags were dedicated at a ceremony held on the front lawn of Worthington High School on May 26, 1976. The entire community was invited to attend. The flags were carried by Worthington High School students, visible in the rear of the assembly shown here. The Worthington DAR Chapter Regent (Betty Lane, far left), Class Presidents, and Student Council President and President-elect participated in the dedication ceremonies.
