Although individual clubs had lobbied to include women as early as 1964, it wasn't until 1989 that Rotary International voted to admit women worldwide. This newsletter features two notable women: Esther M. Johnson, the first woman inducted into Rotary, and Judy Bryant, the Dublin-Worthington Rotary Club's first female Paul Harris Fellow. Paul Harris Fellows are individuals who have made significant contributions to the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus, or other Rotary Foundation grant programs.
