How can I contribute to Worthington Memory?
Community involvement is a key component to Worthington Memory, and volunteers are needed to help in various ways. Volunteers and students help Worthington Libraries and Worthington Historical Society staff members to build Worthington Memory, a digital library of local historical photographs and documents. Volunteers are involved in many core activities such as basic conservation treatment (metal removal, paper flattening and transfer of photographs and documents into chemically stable storage containers), scanning photographs and documents, and transcribing hand-written documents. Volunteers also help with indexing of local newspapers dating 1814-present.
Please call Janet Ingraham Dwyer, Outreach Services & Volunteer Coordinator, (Worthington Libraries) at 807-2643 for more information on volunteering to help build Worthington Memory!
