Obituary

Bernard Pickett, age 79, on Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Survived by wife Dorothy, son Bernard (Vickie) Pickett Jr; daughters, Sandra (Mark) Pickett and Becky Lee (Ronald) Rausch; step-son, Al (Debbie) Cuckler; brother, John (Carol) Long; sisters, Ruth Jones and Mary Bigsby; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, 2 sisters and step-daughter, Patty Cirone. Mr. Pickett was retired from Armstrong Heating after 44 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran serving in the European Theater during WWII receiving 2 Bronze Stars, American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Croix DE Guere with Vermillion Star, Silver Star Medal and a Soldiers Medal. Memorial service 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2000 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd. were friends may call 1 hour prior to service time. Interment and graveside service to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
