Obituary

Catherine I. Smith, age 84; of Worthington, died Thursday, January 13, 2000 at the Laurels of Worthington Nursing Home. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter N. and Grave (Highland) Smith; brother, Harry Smith; sisters, Alice Smith, Bea Kennedy and Mary Hill. Survived by her brother, Donald G. (Ann) Smith of Worthington; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Graduate of the Old West High School and Office Training School. Retired President of the Ladies Auxiliary/United Transportation Union after 45 years of dedicated service and proud member of Dace Plus of Grandview. In keeping with Catherine's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later date.
