Elbert L. Rice, Wednesday, age 88, residence, 40 E. Kanawha Ave. Stationary Engineer at the R.K.O. Theater for 40 years. Member of Internationl Union of Operatiang Engineers local 89. Member of Neil Ave. Methodist Church and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Trustees will be honorary pallbearers. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Virginia Trippett, of the residence; 3 grandsons; 11 great grandchildren. Friends may call Shaw-Davis North Chapel, 4341 N. High St. all day Friday where service will be held Saturday 1:30 p.m. Rev. Michael Baldwin officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
