Obituary

Geneva F. Pierce, 93, of Sparta died November 17, 2000, at Heartland Nursing Home. She is survived by a daughter, Maxine (Lewis) Scott of Sparta; a son, Earl (Wanda) Pierce of Columbus; 37 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Lavasseur of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two daughters and one son. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 p.m. in the Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, 49 W. Church St., Centerburg. Graveside service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 5481 N. High Street, Columbus. Pastor Bob Allen will officiate.
