George Ashida, age 65, 431 Morse Road, Thursday. Member of Amvets Post 89 and Carpenters Local 200. Veteran of WW II. Survived by wife, Bea; step-daughters, Mrs. Ed. (Saundra) Andrix, Mrs. Ed (Beverly Ann) Crooks; brother, Toshi; step-brother, Louis; sister, Indiana Bessho; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Long funeral Home, 1173 East Hudson Street, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, where service will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m. Reverend John Betz officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Amvets Memorial service 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
