John W. Mider, age 83, of Columbus, April 23, 1993 at Whetstone Care center. Retired life insurance salesman. Preceded in death by wife Helen. Survived by sisters, Ruth Mider and Mary Headd; brother, Edward Mider; mother, Mabel Mider; sisters-in-law, Hazel Flick and Grace Severns, both of Columbus and Ethel Metzger of Tucson, Ariz. Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be held for the family 2 p.m. Monday at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Contributions may be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
