Russell D. Byers, age 81, of E. Beaumont Rd., Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1981. Retired employee Pennsylvania Railroad. Member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, New England Lodge 4 F&AM, Walnut Chapter 172 R.A.M., Canal Winchester. Preceded in death by wife, Ruth J. Byers. Survived by sons, James R. Byers and William J. Moore, both of Columbus; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Elvie Burford, of Clarion, PA. Friends may call SOUTHWICK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3100 N. High St., Friday 7-9 p.m., where service will be from the memorial chapel 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Dr. Newton Fritchley officiating.
