Obituary

ROBINSON Virginia Robinson, 92, of Worthington, died peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Born to Jeremiah and Ethelyn Lockwood. She earned a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Married Rev. Charles Robinson November 28, 1950. Charlie preceded her in death in 1983. In 1967, his U.S. Naval retirement brought them to Worthington, where he was a pastor for the Worthington Presbyterian Church. Virginia was a leader in Presbyterian Women's Association circles, Christian Education, the Worthington Historical Society, the Navy Wives Club, and the blood mobile. Virginia loved her friends, music, gardening and animals. After the death of her son Rob, she moved to Eugene, OR, to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Tony Cooley, and granddaughters, Colleen, and Corrine. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Worthington Presbyterian Church, 773 High Street, Worthington.
