John (William) Moore, age 74, of Columbus, Sunday, April 30, 1989, Riverside Hospital. Retired Lab Technician, Ranco Controls Division after 42 years service. Survived by wife, Mary Jean; son, James and daughter, Molly Elia; grandson, Joseph Elia; brother, James R. Byers; several nieces and nephews. Fifty year member Maple Grove Unitee Methodist Church, Capital City Lodge No. 656 F&AM, Walnut Chapter No. 172 R.A.M., Loyal Order of Moose No. 1427, Leasure Blackston Post No. 239 of the American Legion, Maennerchor and Swiss Club. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High St., Worthington, where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heart Association.
