Consecration of Congregation Beth Tikvah
Basic details
Background
This program documents the formal consecration of Congregation Beth Tikvah, which took place on November 1, 1961. Several Jewish institutions in Columbus noted the founding of Beth Tikvah with enthusiastic approval. The Hillel rabbi and the rabbis of Temple Israel and Agudas Achim participated in the service. Beth Tikvah began in 1961 on the corner of North Broadway and High Street in Clintonville. They outgrew that space and moved to 3199 Indianola Avenue (1968). In 1979 they purchased land at 6121 Olentangy River Road in Worthington and moved into that building in 1980.
