The Olympic Games: The Greater Worthington Flower and Vegetable Show
Basic details
Background
The theme of the 1968 Greater Worthington Flower and Vegetable Show was the Olympic Games. Artistic arrangements focused on Olympic themes such as the winter games, summer games, and future Olympic stars. The flower and vegetable show was held in August at Worthington High School Gymnasium. The front page of the Worthington News during the same week reported that two Worthington High School students, Ron Ramsey and Bill Baker, were headed west to try out for the US cycling team at the Olympic Cycling Time Trials in California. Olympic games were held that year in Grenoble (winter) and Mexico City (summer).
