Donald J. Moody was born on January 6, 1943 in Barberton, Ohio and died January 30, 2014 in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Creighton and Edith Jeanne (Sickels) Moody; his sister, Jan; and his brother-in-law, Bob Pringle. He is survived by his wife, Ann Pringle Moody; his sister, Beth (Bill) Marks; and his sister-in-law, Patti Pringle. Don is also survived by his nieces, Kristin Marks, Lori Marks, Susan (Douglas Wagoner) Pringle, Mary (Chris) Gardner, and Keri Hickman as well as grandnieces and nephews, Emma and Max Gardner, Baden Wagoner, and Megan Hickman. Don's mother claimed that he ran away from home to attend The Ohio State University and never returned. After graduation with a degree in Chemistry, Don served stateside in the U.S. Army demonstrating the detonation/ destruction of chemical weapons. He complained, to put it mildly, of Army life, but later was proud to have served. He retired from Chemical Abstracts Services. In keeping with Don's wishes, there will be no services.
