Background

This 1856 map shows property lines in Franklin County, Ohio, and includes property ownership in Sharon and Perry townships. 

At the top is a map of the Morris addition in Worthington, bounded by Dublin-Granville Road to the north; on the south by South Street (then known as Olive Street); on the west by Morning Street and on the east by Andover (then known as Foster Street). The current Plymouth Street was then known as McCullough Street, and Greenwich Street was Spencer Street.

On the far right is a map of the Old Worthington area. Street names that have changed are: State Street became Dublin-Granville Road, Main Street became High Street, Greenwich Street/Village Street became North Street, Marble Street/Blanford Street became Stafford Avenue, Granby Street/Berlin Street became New England Avenue, Windsor Street/Olive Street became South Street, Union Street/Pearl Street became Oxford Street and Vernon Street became Hartford Street.

On the far left of the map is an engraving of the Worthington Female Seminary building.
