Background

This plat map shows the property lines and lot numbers in Old Worthington. It is taken from the 1895 Map of Franklin County, Ohio showing property lines and land ownership and published by Rand McNally and Company, Chicago, Illinois. The map was donated to the Columbus Metropolitan Library by The Franklin County Genealogical and Historical Society.

The map shows original street names for Old Worthington: the modern-day High Street was known as "Main Street," Dublin-Granville Road was "State Street," Stafford Avenue was "Marble Street," New England Avenue was "Berlin Street" and Oxford Street was "Pearl Street." Only Hartford Street remains unchanged. The street names were officially changed to the current names in July, 1928.
