Background
Worthington High School varsity and reserve basketball teams defeated Hilliard in February 1946. The varsity team's victory moved them into a three way tie for first place in the county league. The reserve squad would finish the regular season with a record of 14 wins and 4 losses. The reserves were then undefeated through the Franklin County Reserve League to win the Reserve Championship title.
