Background
Ohio Chautauqua 2003 performer, Gene Worthington portrayed Ohio Frontiersman Simon Kenton. Scholar actors performed living history presentations, followed by a question and answer session in which audience members asked questions of the performer, who responded in character about the life experiences of the historic figure. The Ohio Chautauqua was a signature event of the Worthington Bicentennial, June 18-22, 2003.
