Home Market
Basic details
Background
The interior of the Home Market is shown here in 1943, with Edith Snouffer working at the deli. Edith made the salads and other deli foods. The Home Market was located at 660 High Street, and offered a complete line of groceries including baked goods, frozen foods, and fresh and smoked meats. Clyde Bachelor opened the business in 1929, eventually handing the business down to his son, David Bachelor. Scottie Macbean Coffeehouse later operated at that location, now home to Jet’s Pizza.
