Homecoming Parade
Basic details
Background
Worthington Libraries' float in the Bicentennial Homecoming parade represented the route taken by the Scioto Company from Granby, Connecticut to the Ohio Frontier in 1804. Each of the four books on the float represented 50 years of library service to the community. In 1803, prior to the long journey from Granby to Worthington, members of the Scioto Company contributed $2.00 per household toward the purchase books for the village library.
