Basic details
Background
This is one of a series of informational cards created by the Linworth United Methodist Church and Historical Society sharing the history of Bill Moose and the Wyandot Indians in central Ohio. The card explains that the final group of Wyandot Indians were removed from Ohio in 1843, but Bill Moose and his family were among the 50 Wyandots who refused to leave. The card also features the Hal Sherman painting, "Prophetstown at Greenville, Ohio," which depicts Tecumseh, leader of the Shawnee Indians, and his brother Tenskwatawa, who was known as "The Prophet."
