Mitzvah Day offers congregants of Beth Tikvah a chance to do good works out in the community. In 1997 opportunities included projects to help the Earth's environment, to bring comfort to the elderly, feed the hungry, and aid the disadvantaged. A large number of members, both adults and children, came out to join in the effort. Abby Goldbaum and Linda Rubin organized the event.
