Background
Congregation Beth Tikvah began in 1961 in Clintonville. In 1968, Beth Tikvah moved into a new home, pictured here. The building was a former Presbyterian church, located at 3199 Indianola Avenue in Clintonville. The building, in an earlier incarnation, had been a private home which contained a dance studio. In just a few years, the Indianola synagogue was outgrown. Land on Olentangy River Road in Worthington was purchased and Beth Tikvah moved into a new building there in 1980.
