Children prepare to let balloons go during the 1983 Worthington Family Festival. Each balloon carried a message stating the purpose of the Family Festival (to stress the importance of the family and the need to strengthen family relationships) and asking the recipient to respond. Responses were returned by children as far away as New Brunswick, Canada. The festival was sponsored by the Community Coordinating Board.
