Worthington Foods Banquet
Basic details
Background
Worthington Foods began holding biennial sales conferences in 1956. This photograph was taken at a dinner concluding the sixth biennial event in Worthington, attended by Worthington Foods employees. The company's sales force expanded from one salesman to nearly twenty between 1956 and 1968. The following year a special report published by Stanford University identified Worthington Foods as having more market ready non-meat protein food products than any other company. The report, known as "The President's Report" was distributed to presidents of major corporations in the United States and brought international attention to Worthington Foods.
