Background
This is one of the test kitchens used by Worthington Foods for product development of non-meat protein foods. The company focused on research and development early on in its history and continued to develop innovative products over six decades. Warren Kelly Hartman joined the company in the mid-1940s and was charged with product development. He has been credited with driving Worthington Foods to the leading edge of product research and development.
