Zip Code Day was celebrated in Worthington on April 30, 1985 (4-30-85). A specially designed postmark was used to cancel letters at a special postal station at the Worthington Public Library. "Foldvelopes" like the ones shown here were made available to the general public, sponsored by the Worthington Downtown Merchants Association. The combination letter and envelope contains a brief message about Zip Code Day in Worthington. The event promoted writing and stressed the importance of written communication in daily life.
