Lynn Gottfried Bowser passed away April 28, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 66. She was born April 27, 1957 in Rochester, NY to the late Leonard and Fay Gottfried. She was the beloved wife of Joseph G Bowser for 40 years. They met in Syracuse, NY in 1979 and spent the following 40+ years building a beautiful life. She is survived by her husband, Joe; her children, Brandon (Chelsea) Bowser, Michael (Kelly) Bowser, Benjamin Bowser and his fiancée Maggie Bierman; and grandchildren, Carter and Austin. Also survived by her loving sister, Cheryl (Alan) Stigler; brothers, Harvey (Linda) Gottfried, Jay Gottfried, and Neil Gottfried (Suzanne Zander); dear sister-in-law, Patricia Gottfried and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynn graduated from Penfield High School in 1975 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Buffalo State University and a Masters Degree in Early Child Education from the University of Hartford. Lynn taught in early education for several years before dedicating herself to her children and was later devoted to her grandchildren. Most days she could be found riding her bike with her beloved or visiting the Public Library with her grandchildren. Lynn was a wonderful, warm, and funny mother, sister, friend, and wife who left us too early. Friends and family are invited for a public visitation from 4-7 pm on Thursday, May 4, at the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, OH.
The family will be holding a small, private funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart Association.
