Betty L Carroll, age 74 of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 1, 2017 at Sunrise of Dublin with family by her bedside. Betty was born on March 19, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Mildred Kozak. During her career, she worked for the State of Ohio as a Disability Claims Examiner for 28 years. In addition to working and raising a family, she gave her time volunteering for NOW (National Organization for Women) in the early 70’s. She was very proud of being a State Legislative coordinator, lobbyist, and editor of the local monthly newsletter, “RightNOW”. Betty loved to read, write, knit, collect stamps, work crossword puzzles, and cook.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years Ed Carroll, daughters’ Courtney Carroll (Clay Kruse), Stephanie (Michael) Dunlap, Granddaughter’s Whitney and Riley, her brother Donald (Elizabeth) Kozak and niece’s Christy and Erin.
