Franklin “Eric” Clark, of Worthington, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at the tender age of 16. Eric blessed this earth, and the lives of his family when he was born on June 20, 2000. Eric was an incoming Junior at Thomas Worthington High School where he was a member of the varsity football team, boy’s basketball team, and the Entrepreneurial Business Academy. Eric was the ultimate team player. He worked tirelessly every day, not just for his own success, but for the success of those around him. He inspired others to be more than they believed they could be…. to never give up…. no matter the circumstances, no matter the deficit. He would be proud to see the way we have all come together as a team…. family, friends, the community…. the ultimate team…. built on human kindness, united together, selflessly helping each other, and encouraging one another to keep going despite the circumstances…. despite the deficit. Along with coaches, teammates, and friends, memories of his loving spirit will be treasured by his Mom, Laura; and his older sisters Cambria and Kyla; his grandparents Eric and Shirley Sloan; Aunts Ann (Isaac Nance) Cornelius, Amber (Kelly) Ryan, and Uncle Aaron (Jessica) Sloan; close cousins Carter and Hannah Cornelius, Austin, Alex, and Alissa Nance; Great Aunt Diane (Dan) Campbell; Great Uncle Bob (Kathy) Craven; along with a large extended family with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eric’s friends and family may visit from 5-9pm, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street. (1/2 Mile South of I-270).
