HUNTER Billy Ray Hunter, M.D., age 61, of Worthington, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008. He was a graduate of St. Augustine's College, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternal organization, Phi Beta Kappa, National Honor Society, Who's Who World-Wide, Big Brothers & Sisters and many more accomplishments accolades. Billy Ray was preceded in death by his late wife of 36 years Avis Beloris Euphemia Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Monica Acklin-Hunter; mother, Mary Hunter; sons, Atty. Billy Ray (Sandra) Hunter Jr., LeRoy Alphonzo (M. Kiana Knight) Hunter, Bobby Valentino (Julia) Hunter; step-daughter, Brittany Acklin; nine grandchildren; brothers, Douglas (Euzelia) Hunter, Gregory (Ann) Russell; sisters, Gwen (Jerry) Harrelson, Jameka (James) Robinson; mother-in-law, Henrietta Acklin; brother-in-law, Larry (Vanessa) Jones; five sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085 (614)885-4006, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, with Bishop Jerome Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.
