Carolyn Lambert (aka Mom, Mamaw), an omnipresent force and the matriarch of the Lambert Family, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021. Raised in Coffeyville, KS and Provo, UT, Carolyn met the love of her life, Lee Lambert, at Provo High School in 1963 and spent the next 57 years building a magnificent life with him in California, Washington and Ohio. Carolyn dedicated her entire life to her family and was a devoted mom, mamaw and wife. She loved her family fiercely, loyally and without abandon, and it showed in everything she did! She took great pride in keeping a beautiful and tidy home and in creating family traditions that will live on for generations. Carolyn didn’t enjoy cooking but she was damned good at it and made sure her family sat down together for dinner every night, no matter how busy the kids’ schedules got. She loved to entertain and she opened her home to everyone, making the Lambert house a fixture in many of her kids’ friends’ lives. She was “Mom” and “Mamaw” to many and she loved every minute of it! For the past 21 years, Carolyn’s entire world revolved around her grandkids. Davin Jr. (21), Drew (17), Jonah (13), Ainslee (11) and her “grand finale twins” Avery and Sydney (7). She was there for every school function. Every game. Every meet. Every recital. Every lesson. Every playdate. Every haircut. She supported and championed for her grandkids endlessly. Her dedication and devotion to them was unparalleled. Carolyn had a captivating smile that lit up any room. She loved the sun and had a year-round tan. She was fashionable and always looked her best. She was gracious but spoke her mind. Kind but feisty. Carolyn was confident and loved the person she was. She was goofy and silly…the life of the party…and proud that she “didn’t have to drink to have fun”. Carolyn never met a stranger. She loved getting to know people and made friends everywhere she went. The world was a much better place with Carolyn Lambert in it. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband, Lee Lambert, daughter Marnie Lambert (Tricia and her son, Hayden), son Davin Lambert, daughter Erin Neff (Scott) and grandchildren Davin Lambert Jr, Drew Lambert, Jonah Lambert, Ainslee Lambert, Avery Neff and Sydney Neff. She is also survived by her brother Bill Hazelwood, sister, Rhonda Loftus (Pete), brother Jack Crifasi and brother Anthony Crifasi. And nieces and nephews that she adored. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Columbus Zoo (Carolyn’s favorite place to be with her family) for a memorial to be created in her name. Visit https://give.columbuszoo.org/lambert-memorial to make a donation. Friends and family are also encouraged to share tributes, memories, anecdotes and photos at www.forevermissed.com/carolyn-lambert, which will remain open indefinitely. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Flint Road Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio. A private family graveside service will be held Friday, January 29. When Covid is over, we will have a grand celebration of Carolyn’s life…a party that would make her proud…and ALL are welcome! Details forthcoming.
