Lazar Theodore Aaron "Ted" Lazar of Worthington, OH passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. He was born July 16, 1920 in Chicago, IL, son of Rena (Goodman) and Phillip Lazar. He took his first job at age 2, selling day-old newspapers for a penny. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-46, retiring as a Sergeant and Weather Observer. After graduating from John Marshall Law School in 1951, he practiced law and tended bar (the beverage variety) until able to support his young family as a lawyer. He married Betty Jean Papermaster on July 6, 1952. They remained together as a faithful loving couple until her passing in 2010 at the age of 83. He served as Corporation Counsel and then V.P. of Law for Lancaster Colony Corporation for 43 years until his retirement in 1988. He is survived by his sons, Mark Lazar and wife Sharon, Paul Lazar and wife Sue Kirby; daughter, Nancy Epstein and husband Les; and grandchildren, Jessica Lazar, Zoë Lazar-Hale and husband, Carson Waites, Emma Lazar, Sam Lazar, and Sarah Epstein.
