Robert Jack Malone, 85, of Columbus, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on November 8, 2016. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, and was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School, Muskingum College, and Ohio State University, and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Bob was a retired teacher from the Columbus Public Schools, and a member of Grace Brethren Church of Columbus. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Jessie Malone, and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathryn; sons Greg (Heidi) Malone of Canton, Alan (Heather) Malone of Powell, grandchildren Caitlin Malone and Aaron Malone, special grandchildren Heather (Jamie) Rhoads, and special great grandson Evan Rhoads. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11am at GRACE POLARIS CHURCH, 8225 Worthington Galena Road, Westerville. The family will receive friends following the service. Private family burial at Flint Cemetery with arrangements by Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home.
