McLravy John L. McLravy, age 94, passed away on October 29, 2015 at his home at Wesley Glen Retirement Community. He was born in Hastings, Michigan on June 5, 1921 to the late Glenn Jay and Ruth Daisy Baker McLravy. John was a veteran of the US Navy, and a proud graduate of Michigan State University, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from Bell Laboratory (Lucent Technology) after many years of dedicated service. He attended Calvary Bible Church. He is survived by his family, children, Janet Dawson, Nancy (Richard) Ellis, Sandra (William) Chandler and Jeff (Jennifer) McLravy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jill, Jeanne, Rick, Phil, Matthew, Laura, Michael, Grant and Brianna; and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Yvonne) McLravy; sister, Joyce (Dale) Watling; his nieces, nephews and their families; son-in-law, John Baxter. He is preceded in death by his wife Jeane McLravy, daughter Susan Baxter, son-in-law Frank Dawson, granddaughter Elizabeth Baxter. Interment services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL.
