Frances E. (Tance) McVey, age 86 of Columbus, OH died Friday, October 5, 2018, at her residence. She was born on October 25, 1931 in Lawrenceburg, IN and grew up in Lebanon, OH. She was the daughter of the late Giovanni M. and Frieda J. Williams. In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard K. McVey and her brother, Rodney A. Williams. Fran worked for many years for Turner and Shepherd Insurance Co., and later for Alexander and Alexander. She took great pride in her home and garden and enjoyed entertaining, especially for Ohio State football tailgating. She loved spending time with her family and friends and always had a smile for everyone. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Rader of Eldorado, OH; her son, Mike McVey of Hilliard, OH; her granddaughter, Erin Rader of West Alexandria, OH; and many other family and friends. Family will receive friends Friday, October 12, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. (Noon) at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Followed by a graveside service to immediately follow at 1 p.m., at Flint Cemetery, in Worthington, OH. In lieu of flowers, her family has suggested memorial contributions be made to Fran's Memorial, Lincoln Village Assisted Living, 4959 Medfield Way, Columbus, OH 43228 .
