MILLER R. Bruce Miller, Jr., 48, of Powell, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012. He was born November 7, 1964 in Philadelphia, PA. Bruce grew up there and in New Jersey. He attended the U. of Delaware and was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in civil engineering. Bruce was former owner of Miller Craftsman & Builders, worked for Exxcel Project Management, and currently employed with the Covington Group. Bruce was a man of deep faith and a member of the Christian Community Church where he was a Life Group Leader, Building Committee member, and strong supporter of the inner city Garden Church. He was a master craftsman with a passion for building. He loved spending time with his kids, including coaching their soccer, baseball and football teams. He was instrumental in bringing the Little League Chapter to the Olentangy area, that in the first year, became the largest in Ohio. He has served as V.P. and Commissioner and oversaw the recent construction of ball fields near his home. He was in the process of starting a Challenger League for the developmentally disabled and filmed varsity football games for Olentangy Liberty H.S. for the past 4 years. Bruce was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles the Phillies. Bruce was such a giving, dedicated man and will be missed by all who were blessed to know him, including his loving wife of 21 years, Beth; son, Bobby Miller, II; daughter, Elise Miller; and son, Sam Miller; parents, Robert and Marcia Miller; brother, Scott (Patrice) Miller; sisters, Paige (Tom) Mangan and Marcia (Peter) Wefelmeier; nieces, nephews, and family members and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Christian Community Church, 5586 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
