Johnny Schmittauer, age 23 of Lewis Center, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio to John D. Schmittauer and Jacquie (Roche) Schmittauer.
He was a 2013 graduate of Olentangy High School, worked as a manager at Menards, and was a lifelong member of Worthington Christian Church. Johnny was unforgettable; he had a magnetic personality and he shared his laughter and love with everyone he met. His memory will be permanently etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
Johnny was preceded in death by grandparents James Richard Schmittauer, Thomas and Helen Roche, and Harold and Zelma Furniss.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving parents; twin brother Jimmy Schmittauer; sisters Jamie Schmittauer, Amy (Vincenzo) Landino, and Kari (Jason) Boetcher; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family and friends whose lives Johnny touched are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4-8pm and a memorial service on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10am at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Johnny may be made to Lifeline of Ohio.
