A funeral service for Jim Searcy, age 68 of Columbus will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Rutherford Funeral Home in Powell, with interment to follow at Flint Cemetery. James L. Searcy was born on July 21, 1948 to the late Roy E. and Bernice E. (Moody) Searcy in Louisville, KY. He passed Tuesday September 6, 2016 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. Jim is survived by his son James Paul Searcy, sister Janet Pursell of Louisville, good friends Ann and Jim Johnston, nephew Chris Pursell of Nashville, TN. Jim enjoyed photography, cooking and was an avid fan of OSU football. He was a graduate of the Carrollton, KY HS Class of ’66, received his BS from Eastern Kentucky University and worked as a business support manager with Volvo.
