Donna J Sheridan passed away January 2, 2023 at the age of 92. Born Donna J. Grubb on July 3, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Paul B. and Ethel Charlotte Grubb, Donna grew up in Columbus alongside her two siblings William Donald Grubb and Ethel Joann Grubb. After graduating from Columbus North High School in 1949, she worked as a teller at the Ohio National Bank, where she met her husband Jim. The two were married for 64 years at the time of Jim’s passing in 2017. Donna was always proud of her family and looked forward to cheering on the marching band at football games and attending soccer games and track meets to show her support.
When her daughters Jeanne and Tracy were in high school and both part of the band program, Donna was a founding member of the Worthington High School Band Boosters, where she wrote articles about the band for the local newspaper and initiated the Marching Band Tag Day which supported the band and is still a fundraiser for the TWHS marching band to this day. Donna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to host, cook, and gather people together. She is survived by her children Jeanne and Dave Dumond, and Tracy and Chris Strombotne, as well as her grandchildren Jim Dumond, Dan Dumond and James Leach, Anne and Derek Warnick, and Julia Skul, and three great grandchildren. Visitation hours will be at Rutherford Corbin Funeral Home in Worthington, on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
