Kenneth W. Sherrod, 90, of Pickerington went to his eternal reward January 6, 2018. Born in Meadville, PA on March 12, 1927, of the late Kenneth and Vera (Ward) Sherrod, Sr. On June 26, 1954 he married Marjorie Ann Johnston; she survives. After committing his life to Christ at the First Christian Church in Meadville, PA., Kenneth graduated from the Cincinnati Bible Seminary (CCU) in Cincinnati, Ohio and served Christian/Church of Christ churches in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee and Ohio. Kenneth spent 48 years as a fulltime evangelist in the local church ministry, he retired continuing to supply preach until age 82. In addition, he was a hospital Chaplin in several cities. Currently active at the Worthington Christian Church, the Good News Bible Class, Benfield Christian Church, Columbus, Ohio and a Pickerington Senior Center member. In addition to his wife, Marjorie of 62 years, Ken is survived by three sons, David of Pickerington, Thomas (Carolyn) and Stephen of Lewis Center, Ohio; five grandchildren, Timothy, James, Joy Annamarie, Sylvia and Mark (Kathleen Roads) Sherrod; one great granddaughter, Reagan Sherrod; one great grandson, Levi Sherrod; a sister, Alice (Richard) McCoy of Williston, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Claire Sherrod of Meadville, Pennsylvania; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is also preceded in death by a brother, Ward; two sisters, Dorothy Haddenham and Beverly Sherrod and a brother-in-law, Floyd Haddenham. Friends may visit 6-8 pm January 10th, 2018 at the Worthington Christian Church, 8145 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43224 with a memorial service on January 11th at 11am with one hour of visitation prior. Interment Flint Cemetery at 1:00pm.
