Christina Bea Thomas, 49, of Worthington, Ohio passed peacefully at her home on March 17th. Her fiery spirit came into the world and never dimmed, and her certainty and confidence never waned. At a young age her loving and supportive parents Glen and Claire Thomas, shared their love of the arts through the symphony, the ballet and fine arts - that solidly forged a passion in her. She graduated from Worthington High School in 1985, followed by Carnegie Mellon University, where she honed her creative mind and craft. Always an artist, she embraced creativity as a jewelry designer, painter, photographer, gallery owner and a canvas for more than a few tattoos. She never touched any creative she was not inspired by or drawn to. Her true selfless indulgence was none other than her two gems and absolute loves Olivia and Angelo. The moon, the stars and the sun meant less to her than her children and she will forever be looking over them, as will her friends.A ballerina, swimmer, artist, mother, friend. Too soon to leave us, but she lived a life to be admired. She never passed up a dare, always told you the truth even if it was not what you wanted to hear, was a master of unabashed stubbornness, and had an insurmountable gift for always loving - big, bold, and with a passion. In addition to her children, Christie is survived by her fiancé John Ayre, her brother Craig Thomas, her birth-mother Joni Hasselgren, and her Aunt Jewell and Uncle Reed Hausmann. A celebration of Christie’s life is planned for Thursday April 14th from 5-9pm at the McConnell Arts Center, 777 Evening St. in Worthington.
