VAN DYKE Charles D. (Kizzee) Van Dyke, 77, Columbus, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011, with his loving wife at his side. Charles was born in Marion, OH on November 12, 1934, to James E. and Elma Kizzee and was adopted at age 2 by Charles E. and Dorothy (Simmons) Van Dyke. Charles is preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl A. Van Dyke; beloved daughter, Stephanie "Nipper" (Tony) Haas; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; mother-in-law, Ramona Redman; brother-in-law, George; sister-in-law, Theresa (Tom) and family; nieces, nephews and many friends. Charlie worked as a Sous/Prep Chef at several restaurants around Columbus, enjoyed aviation, art, OSU Football and all of his "Pets". Charlie volunteered for the Diabetes Association. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Flint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, American Lung Association or the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
