Sara L. Willett, 86 of Worthington, died March 9, 2021 at Mayfair Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born December 15, 1934 in Loudonville, Ohio to the late Reynold and Dorothy Yarman Doup. Sara relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she met the love of her life, Elmer. She retired early from the Postal Service and with Elmer by her side they moved to Ft. Myers, Florida. They became snowbirds after a time and lived their summers in Columbus so they could be closer to family and friends whom they greatly missed. Sara was well known for her smiling, caring personality who gave wonderful hugs. Sara was preceded in death by her loving Elmer. She is survived by nieces and nephews; Sara (Tim) Barrick, Douglas (Marianne) Cowell, David (Barbara) Grieble, Mary (Robert) Montgomery, Diane (Gail) Mutchler and Susan (Kevin) Riley; step children, Joann Boggs, Judy Thompson and Douglas Willett; numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends, especially lifelong friend Mary Helen Gallagher. Services will be held 1:00pm Friday April 16, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270) where friends may visit with the family from 11:00 - 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Flint Cemetery.
