Helen E. (Roach) Altizer, died on Thursday, February 4, 1999 at the Village of Westerville Nursing Center. Born on September 20, 1902 in Columbus, OH to William F. and Susan L. (Blackburn) Roach. Preceded in death by husband Eura E. Altizer and daughter H. Louise Search Ham. Survived by daughter Martha J. Gardner of Columbus and son Charles E. (Mary) Altizer of Columbus; 9 grand- children; 17 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and special friends Ellen Gray and Sister Mary Diehl. Helen retired from the Franklin County Auditor's Office in 1964. A member of Central College Presbyterian Church and a former 67 year member of Linden Church of Christ. A 78 year member of Linden Heights Chapter #463 of Ohio Eastern Star, Queen Esther Chapter Advisor and Grand A.D.A.H. of Grand Chapter of Ohio. Past President of Noreast Women's Club and member of Shrine Widows Club, Columbus N.A.R.F.E. (National Association of Retired Federal Employees), Public Employee Association, Franklin County and Buckeye Republican Clubs, Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road. Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 1999 at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd. The Rev. Dr. Richard D. Ellsworth presiding. Interment to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 5481 N.
