ARNOLD Gayle E. Arnold, age 57, born June 24, 1950, in Celina, Ohio, passed from this life to eternal life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of July 25, 2007. Gayle was a star athlete and student leader before graduating as valedictorian of West Liberty-Salem High School. He continued his athletic success in football at Taylor University where he returned after graduating to serve as a football coach and student life staff. He received an MA in education from Ball State University before enrolling in Notre Dame Law School. Upon graduating Notre Dame, Gayle was admitted to bar 1980, State of Ohio; U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio; U.S. Court of Appeals, 6th circuit. After beginning the practice of law at Lane, Alton, and Horst, 1980-1985, Gayle joined Jacobsen, Maynard, Tuschman and Kalur, 1985-1997, where he became a partner in that firm. In 1997, Gayle left JMTK to start his own law firm, Arnold & Associates, which became Arnold Todaro & Welch, specializing in medical malpractice defense. Gayle was a member of Best Lawyers in America; Who's Who in American Law; Columbus Bar Association; Ohio State Bar Association; Defense Research Institute; and International Association of Defense Counsel. Preceded in death by his parents Wm. Floyd and Mary Helen Arnold, and infant brother Stephen Todd Arnold. Survived by his wife, Sue Anne Arnold; children, Leah (Mark) Hunkerford, Joshua, Elissa, Natalie, Katie and Cameron; brother, Douglas (Melinda) Arnold; and nephews and many loving relatives and friends who will miss him tremendously. To meet Gayle meant you would remember Gayle. He always made an impression. In his memory, the family will receive visitors from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065. (Powell Rd./St.Rt. 750 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.) Funeral will be held at Grace Brethren Church of Powell, 7600 N.
